Many parents and granparents are curious about what all those little bumps on their baby’s face could be. After all babies dont get acne, that only happens to teenagers right? Wrong, acne can start at any age including infancy. These many images of baby acne will help you identify the simularities with the bumps on your infants face. Some bumps know as “milk bumps” are small, white and accure around the lips and chin of an infant. Some acnes is in small areas and you need not worry, but if the majority of the infants face becomes covered with red blistery or pimple looking acne make sure to contact a pediatrician immediately.The true cause of baby acne is unknown, many doctors believe it is caused by hormones given to babies by their mothers during the end of the pregnanacys. Others believe it could be caused by something as simple as a mild reaction to medications taken by the mother while nursing. Baby acne can last any where from a few weeks to a few months. If baby acne like in these images persists more than three months, the child should be taken to their health care provider or pediatrician. If your child has acne make sure that you do not use over the counter acne medication, scrub or put oily lotion on the babies face. It is best if you simply wash the babys face with mild baby soap once a day and have patience.
